Ever heard of the Tax Poem by Poetic Expressions? The final two stanzas of the poem go like this: If he hollers, tax him more,Tax him until he?s good and sore.Tax his coffin, tax his grave,Tax the sod in which he lays.

Put these words upon his tomb,?Taxes drove me to my doom!?And when he?s gone, we won?t relax,We?ll still be after the inheritance tax.It may sound funny in a poem but in reality it probably does portray some of the general sentiments about taxes and taxmen. Many people do not like the idea of paying taxes and some even feel that they are taxed on almost everything. To them, April may be the most dreaded month of the year due to tax filing. It is also a reminder about the tax debt that some may owe to the IRS which they have conveniently forgotten throughout the rest of the year. Are you one of them? Do you owe money to the IRS? Are you hoping that the next 10 years will pass by in a flash so that the IRS will wipe out your debt? Well, this may not be the wisest choice as you would be carrying this burden for the next 10 years. You may be better off getting help from tax relief specialists. There seem to be specialists for almost anything nowadays. So it is hardly surprising to have tax relief specialists to help you with tax debt issues. These are people who have the qualification and expertise to help you navigate the complicated process of seeking tax relief. Tax specialists include attorneys, licensed agents and those authorized by the IRS. You may want to check out a few and make comparison before choosing one that is right for you. A tax relief specialist would be able to advice you on the various options available and help you choose one that will help you pay off your outstanding balance. One of the options you may want to consider is tax relief settlement. You can do this by applying for an OIC from the IRS. OIC stands for Offer-in-Compromise and it is a program by the IRS that may help you reduce the amount you owe to them. It is like the IRS giving you a discount with the hope that they can get back some of their monies. The OIC application process can be quite complicated and tedious as you need to fill up forms, submit lots of supporting documents and liaise with the IRS officers. It may be good to be able to leave this task to a tax relief specialist. Basically, you would need to prove to the IRS that you really cannot pay this much amount and you can only pay a certain discounted amount. Once an agreement is reached on the balance you may then choose to pay with a lump sum payment or a monthly installment payment. A monthly installment plan is not available only under OIC. If you cannot afford a lump sum payment on the balance you owe but you have the capability to make some monthly payments, you may want to apply directly with the IRS for a monthly installment plan. Voila! You are on your way to debt tax freedom. And it would require you to only fill up a form and submit some documents. The process is less complicated than an OIC as it does not involve getting a discount from the IRS. There is also the option of a partial installment agreement with the IRS for those with debts above ,000. Will Rogers once said,
